Kiwanis Of Little Havana Foundation

The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana established the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation in 1987, with the mission to further assist the financially underserved Hispanic youth of Miami-Dade County. Since its inception, the Foundation has provided thousands of children each year with the opportunity to learn, dream, grow, succeed, and thrive through education, technology, health, and overall goodwill programs.

Fact

Hispanics are the nation’s largest and fastest growing segment of the population in the United States, but Hispanics have the lowest high school and college completion rates of any ethnic group. The second largest Hispanic population in the U.S. is found in Miami-Dade County, which, in turn, has the largest minority public school system in the country. The Foundation’s programs are a vital part of the future of the Miami-Dade County community.
